Elaine Vallem Grainger

I moved to Mpls after graduation married and began my family and career. In 1981 I transferred to Louisiana as a Field Service Manager for the Wall Street Journal. In my spare time, i opened a sewing business and did work for Mardi Gras, public and private schools, dance schools, Jimmy Swaggarts, etc. Wall Street transferred me back to St. Paul in 1994 as a Field Service Trouble Shooter. After just 5 months the issues were resolved and I was about to be transferred again so left the company to return to Wisc. I was General Manager of The Country Inn and Suites in Hayward until 3 years ago. Now I have a little sewing shop in town. I was required to sew when growing up because we were so poor and have finally realized that sewing is my passion.
